Conference Objectives
Unfortunately, Pakistan's population and development programme has not made as much steady progress as the rest of the globe. According to available data, Pakistan is trailing other developing nations in terms of its social and development metrics, and its inability to slow down the rapid population growth is a major factor in this.
Persistent high levels of poverty and inequality, water scarcity, environmental degradation, food insecurity, maternal, infant, and child morality, inadequate measures of human development, gender inequality, youth unemployment, increased vulnerability of marginalised populations, and general health requirements are among the main population challenges.
The Conference will bring together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to a common platform to discuss Pakistan's population problems and consider their solutions in the light of emerging contexts.
